Great Fun September 5, 2010 Mach33 The same great fun as when they came out years ago. Using for the first time, my daughter had a blast.
Lots of fun! August 17, 2010 C. Bonilla (San Diego, Ca) My nephews and I love it! All the kids at our family party wanted to try it.
Takes practice to get the hang of it. lots of fun...
A classic! August 2, 2010 Gogunners (Beaverton, Oregon) My brother and I owned a set back in the mid-70s and have kept it all these years. With a growing family I was delighted to find that they were still in production.
Great fun and easy to learn with a little practice.
It would have been 5-stars, but it no longer comes with the Styrofoam beginners' ball.
Not Good for Crowded Areas - Hard to Control, Ball Travels VERY Fast July 26, 2010 Nick Gray (NYC) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We found this toy very hard to control. The ball travels very far, and very fast. That can be a good thing, but among four guys who tried this today we just couldn't get a pass-and-throw rhythm down. Constantly missing targets and over-shooting our partners. Eventually we had to stop trying to catch the ball because it was rolling into (or scaring) peoples picnics nearby. Perhaps we were doing it wrong? It's like jai alai, right?
Fun, but takes some practice June 5, 2010 H. Horn (Vestal, NY) This was a gift for my 7-year old daughter. It's fun, but definitely takes some practice for kids to get the hang of how to throw and catch the ball properly. Heck, even takes practice for the adults! The rackets do have the potential to make the balls go very far, so be prepared! We will get a lot of use out of these, but it will take time to get used to how to really use them properly. I would not recommend this for kids under 7, unless they're super coordinated and athletic.
