Product Description
The Thule 961XT Speedway 2-Bike Trunk Rack is simple to install, and easy to use. The Thule Speedway has a two bicycle carrying capacity, and a new improved design that greatly increases its number of vehicle fits.

The Thule Speedway utilizes Thule's easy-to-use, patented Fit Dial for the perfect fit and quick installation, and an exclusive push-button feature for folding down bike arms so they are out of your way when not in use. This bicycle rack features Thule's T3 Cradles that lock down bikes and cradles while still allowing complete adjustment along the bike arm, and No Sway Cages that control bike movement to keep your bicycles from colliding, and are removable for ease of use. The Thule Speedway provides you with a super-stable fit to your vehicle with six straps, and has a metallic-silver finish that looks great on any and every vehicle. The Speedway itself weighs only 12 pounds, and has a maximum carrying capacity of 70 pounds.

1 out of 5 stars Buy American!   September 1, 2010

The Swedish makers of this rack actually pack a card in the box saying that they have no liability for damage to your vehicle or bicycles caused by their product. They don't even have a customer service number to contact them. This rack carried bikes just fine but the "anti-sway" bracket rubbed the paint off of my new Fuji. Now I am stuck with this damage even though the rack has been returned. Don't buy anything from Thule. Buy from someone that stands behind their products!

4 out of 5 stars Nice, but I can not wait until that Thule Raceway to come out!   August 18, 2010

Typical trunk rack, but better quality than average since it is a Thule. There are no setting details for a 2004 Cadillac CTS but it works fine. The manual says trunk is not able to hold the weight but I had no issues with 2 bikes on. You still have the whole strap thing though, so I can not wait until the Thule 9002 Raceway comes out early next year (keeps getting delayed, ugh!).

5 out of 5 stars Great bike rack   July 15, 2010

When I bought this I was very hesitant as I saw older reviews referring to flimsy plastic parts. I think its possible there was a re-design, the model I got was rock solid. I drove it for 1400 miles, including a couple hours of rain, going probably average of 75 miles and it did not fail me. The no-sway attachment that comes with it is the key and it works great. I am using it on a hatchback style car with a road bike.

4 out of 5 stars Great rack   June 30, 2010

I commute 5 times a day about 40-50 miles roundtrip carrying one bike. After a horrible experience with a "budget" bike rack, I went to the bike store and purchased this one based on their recommendations. It is a great rack! Very sturdy and holds my bike in place. The only con is that I cannot open my trunk when the rack is on (I drive a Kia Rio), but I do not use it much, so it's not that big of a deal. Great purchase.
