5 out of 5 stars works great   March 11, 2010

Ive used these for the past year at least 3 days a week. the stitching is still fine. Some people whine about there arms, but ive never worn a t-shirt while using these and im fine. as far as the workout goes, its the best ab work anyone can do. it eliminates lower back pain you would get from doing ab exercises on the floor.

3 out of 5 stars Ab Straps OK   March 4, 2010

I received the ab straps and I've used them for a few weeks now. They basically do what you would expect - slide them over the handles on the Iron Gym and you can then use them to suspend yourself in the air for various ab exercises.

I like using them better than just dangling from the Iron Gym and trying to do ab exercises. However, not much better. I'm 5'6", so it's a bit tricky for me to get my arms in these things while the Iron Gym is on a standard door frame as they hang higher than my arms are at. Additionally, I have found that they kind of dig into my arms. It's nothing serious, but it's not comfortable, either.

I would recommend them as something that you can use to change up your workout, but I find I can do more good ab exercises with a Weider Stability Ball (between $10 - $20, dependent on size). I see this as something to change the monotony, not as something you'd want to use 3 or more times a week.

4 out of 5 stars Works well.   February 15, 2010

Work well but would be better if they were detachable. Must be put on during bar assembly!

2 out of 5 stars ab straps   February 9, 2010

its functions work fine, but after the first use, i found the stiching starting to break. after the second time, one layer of fabric broke off. in other words, its terrible. great idea, terrible materials and execution.

1 out of 5 stars Garbage.   February 9, 2010

These straps are a waste of money... don't bother. While the Iron Gym itself is an excellent product I'm almost glad they didn't come with it originally to keep the price down. Before I thought it was fickle not to include them but they're only a good idea in theory; straps are velcro adjusted so its repetitious to attach them and be level with each other. You get a better workout just supporting yourself with your arms and I prefer to prop my legs and hang upside down to work my abs anyways. They're low quality but on par with the price; seem sturdy enough but I've just thrown them in the corner of the closet and never use them.
