Amazon.com Product Description A safe, stylish alternative to plastic water bottles, Sigg water bottles are a great choice for transporting beverages on your daily commute or while backcountry hiking. This ultra-lightweight bottle is extruded from a single piece of aluminum and holds 1 liter of fluid (33.8 ounces). Designed to fit your on-the-go lifestyle, it comes with a loop top bottle cap, which can be secured via hook or caribiner clip to a backpack or daypack. Sigg bottles are virtually unbreakable and are constructed with no seams, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-proof performance. They also feature Sigg's proprietary baked-on inner liner, which is made from a non-toxic, water-based epoxy resin that exceeds FDA requirements for leaching (0.0 percent) and is independently tested to be taste- and scent-neutral. Every Sigg bottle is 100 percent recyclable at the end of its life, and is backed by a lifetime warranty. About Sigg It all started with a simple hiker's bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Küng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water? A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating. Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating? A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable. Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks? A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top. Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe? A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended. Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

You can do so much better July 22, 2010 Bryce I'm fully disatisfied. I thought sigg was a good brand to go with, but I thought wrong. The mouth is way too small to begin with. I bought this thing to get away from plastic, but the cap is polypropelene, ok not bad, but could do better. I also just noticed that the design is a bunch of white people. What's up with that? It came entirely over packaged. I mean, do you really need bubble wrap AND paper to protect this thing in a box? If you want a much better product, I already found one. It's made by Together Bottle. Wide mouth, steel cap! AND less packaging, and bottom line is I bought 2 27 oz bottles and a 40 oz for the same price as this one. Think GREEN
Love this Bottle! July 17, 2010 Chinni I absolutely love this bottle. It keeps my water at a decent temperature and tasting great. It also fits in my cup holder in my car which is super convenient. I like the loop top that i can slip my finger thru for carrying while my arms are full of laptop and notebooks on the way to meetings.
Love my Sigg July 4, 2010 Anomoly I've had mine for several months... i drink water every day. I don't go anywhere without it really. I think it's worth the money, I did a lot of research and I'm glad i finally decided on the SIGG will be getting a new one soon, mainly for difference. I also dropped it a few months ago from about 7 feet right on the bottom corner which caused the bottom to warp a little bit. I've dropped it several times and it was fine.
It's high quality remember, buy cheap, buy twice.
Poor qualities overshadowed by good design May 28, 2010 Leanne N. Phelps (Ann Arbor, MI) I bought two bottles through sigg--1L bottles. I was initially liking the first one, but it dented VERY easily. I bought the same bottle in a different color after losing it and the dents showed even more. Then I started reading about aluminum concerns (just didn't pay that much attention before buying) and SIGG's unwillingness to distribute information about their liners (there is reason for this), especially since they had BPA's in their liner's before and weren't disclosing that info. On top of that, my cap leaked and I tried to get it fixed. They told me my cap "appeared" to be missing some threads... but that is the proper cap that they sell, then they sent me a new one which was for a completely different bottle. It did fit, but it was a different color. When I complained he reassured me that it in fact was not gray, like I suggested, but black, like my other one. Idiot. I will not buy from SIGG again, wish I could return the one I have now--but of course it shows signs of "use," since it dents so easily.
I absolutely can't recommend SIGG! April 26, 2010 ethos one (Ventura, CA) My daughter bought bottles for my wife and I Xmas of '08. Mine a SIGG, hers another brand. Very cool looking and I have used it regularly. Unfortunately, the inside of mine has corroded badly, the competitors bottle (I think Klear Canteen) is still perfect. They refused any help other than routing me to their "30%-off" sale items on their website. I'm shopping for a non-SIGG replacement now!!!!
