Product Description The new Ripstick combines all the fun and excitement of surfing and snowboarding and puts it on wheels. Inspired by the classic shape and design of a skateboard, the Ripstick looks like something out of the future. Instead of the traditional four-wheel skateboard, this amazing board can make smooth, quick 360-degree turns on just two wheels. Just stand on the sturdy traction plates and subtle movements propel the Ripstick even up a hill! The front and rear flexible panels are controlled by a spring-oriented bar located on the top of the wheels. The rugged polyurethane wheels are 77mm/85A with ABEC-5 bearings. Separating the two traction plates is a padded rubber carrying handle. Measures 33.5" long x 10" wide. Weighs 8 lbs. Wear helmet and pads for safety. 90-day warranty.
Amazon.com Product Description Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the Ripstik caster board is the perfect ride for kids looking for the next big thrill. The board is distinguished by its pivoting deck and 360-degree inclined caster trucks, which offer a snowboard-like carving ability. A simple weight transfer lets you turn or accelerate without pushing, just like when you're carving down the slopes.
The Ripstik's unique twisting motion moves you forward with out ever pushing off the ground. | The board offers such features as spiked traction pads, a kick tail and nose, and a concave deck design, which combine to improve your foot control--a must for tricks. And thanks to the 76mm polyurethane wheels and precision ABEC-5 bearing casters, skaters will enjoy a smooth ride on almost any type of pavement. Designed for children 8 years and up, the Ripstik's plastic end platforms and metal torsion beam support up to 220 pounds. Key Features: - Inclined caster trucks

- Kick tail
- Rubber-padded handle

the best thing ever!!!!!! September 2, 2010 im 10 and im a boy and i LOVE this thing!!!!! Ok first of all buy this thing right now. this is really fun and awsome.
this is hours of enjoyment. it only took my about an hour and then i was really good at rideing.the only bad part about the ripstik is
that you really have to carve hard to go uphill!!But overall this is one of the best things i ever bought!!!!
Wheels break too fast August 14, 2010 NateDawg1234 I was really annoyed when only after an hour of riding it, the front wheel shattered. I called up the Ripstik company and they sent me some free wheels, but the problem there was they were the same wheels that shattered! If you purchase this ripstik you should also get a pair of better wheels. I recommend the WAVE wheels. They have better bearings and much better speed and quality.
Ripstick a Winner August 9, 2010 Diane Minogue (Washington, DC, US) My 12 year-old daughter spends half her summer days on her Ripstick. Great fun (and good for core-muscle development to boot)! She pretty much "got it" on the first go, unlike her younger sister who is not as strong .. took sis longer. Comes with DVD, mostly safety tips and a few demos. My daughter was too impatient to watch, just put her helmet on and got on her board. No probs. Happy Mom
great fun ripstick! July 31, 2010 Jacqueline (New York) great price for this ripstick found in other store for $25 more. beautiful red color and design. tricky to learn for a newby 10 year old but more fun and challenging than a regular scooter. would purchase again, very well made.
Cool toy, easy to master July 9, 2010 Archana Vembakam (San Ramon CA USA) Rip-Stiks are cool products. My son(8) got this and was able to master it fairly easily. Due to the squiggling, it is easier to go uphill. Of course, you cannot go uphill on very steep inclines.
He was able to learn it quickly and have fun with it. All his friends also feel that it is a cool toy.
